ALIGNED
Is Anastasia MUA the right fit for you? Let's take a look at the personality profile of the brides we attract
Our brides want a timeless, high end natural look that feels authentic to who they are and their personal style. They don't want to be told "you need more makeup to show up in photos" and end up with a look that doesn't feel aligned.
Our brides want a makeup artist who understands what they really mean if they say "I love my freckles and still want to be able to see them!" or "too much eyeshadow makes me feel like I have a black eye," or "foundation sometimes looks worse to me than no makeup at all (but I still want to wear something for my wedding day - help!)" Some of our brides have previous experiences as bridesmaids that make them apprehensive about hiring a makeup artist for their own wedding.
Some of our brides don't know much about makeup, but they know what they like (and don't!) when they see it, and want to hire an expert. Some of our brides are great at doing their own makeup, adore luxury products, and want to hire an artist they can trust to execute their desired look perfectly while they relax.
When selecting your wedding vendors, the most important thing is choosing professionals you can trust to align with your vision. 100% of brides who loved my portfolio have loved working with me. If you're looking at my website and portfolio and feeling unsure, keep looking - your artist is out there. If you feel like I'm writing directly to you, addressing your concerns and you're crazy about my portfolio - we might be a perfect match! Read what my past clients have to say here.

FAQ:
Why don't you offer airbrush makeup? What exactly is airbrush, and what are the pros & cons?
Airbrush makeup is a very thin foundation that sprays in a fine mist out of an airbrush machine (similar to spray paint). I have been doing wedding makeup since 2014, and airbrush was super popular 2014-17 in the wedding industry. At the time, some clients assumed airbrush makeup was similar in concept to airbrush editing on photographs and would blur their imperfections. This is not the case, airbrush refers to the method of application and has nothing to do with airbrushing in the context of photography.
Some artists like airbrush because it can give a full coverage foundation look quickly, as opposed to spending the time to blend a full coverage foundation into the skin. Some claim it lasts longer than standard foundation (this is not true in my experience). Some just prefer a full coverage glam look and find it's the best kind of product for them to achieve that.
I don't like to do full coverage all over the face because in my opinion it looks flat. My niche is clients who don't wear a lot of makeup, and the majority don't want full coverage foundation. I would rather spend the time to add coverage only on areas that need it and let the natural beauty of the skin shine through. Also, it can make the skin look older and emphasize expression lines even on younger clients. My style is minimalistic and I like deciding exactly where to apply product. I come from a painting background so this approach makes more sense to me. I'm extremely picky about foundation products and the look of airbrush doesn't align at all with my aesthetic or style.
All makeup artists have different styles and use different kinds of products to achieve them. There are no universal perfect products, just the perfect products to achieve a particular style. My best advice to you in choosing an artist is to to decide primarily based on their portfolio and if it aligns with the look you want to achieve.
