Anastasia Miller makeup artist portrait in Austin TX

About  Me

I have been a makeup artist in the wedding industry for 9 years, since graduating from UT Austin in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. Painting and drawing were my focus, particularly portraits. While in school, I started working in cosmetics sales part time to develop my makeup artistry skills. Following graduation, I was promoted to studio director and wedding/event coordinator for a busy makeup studio, where I spent the next two years getting my makeup and event coordination skills to a science.

Working in the Austin area, I met a lot of bridal clients who were interested in natural makeup that made them look beautiful, but still like themselves and not overdone. As someone who has a fashion inspired, minimalistic style and is highly detail oriented, I found I was an excellent fit for those brides and was able to deliver exactly what they were looking for.

In 2016, I took the leap and started Anastasia MUA, becoming a full time makeup artist and wedding coordinator for my own pro hair and makeup beauty team. My vision was simple - build an exceptional team of talented artists specializing in my signature natural beauty makeup style and gorgeous, Pinterest-worthy hair with a straight forward booking process and dedication to exceptional client service. We have been featured in wedding publications including Brides of Austin, 7 Centerpieces and more, done makeup for commercial and fashion clients including Ferrari, Loeffler Randall, and Coca Cola Mexico and won Best of theKnot 2020 - 2023. My artistic background has a great influence on the way I work, especially when it comes to understanding color and the way it interacts with my client's undertones to create the most flattering look possible for that specific person. I have experience working with all skin tones. Check out my work here.

I am inspired by celebrity red carpet makeup and runway makeup. I believe in an artistic and minimal approach, whether I'm doing makeup for a bride, a fashion look book, or a commercial. I believe makeup should always be used to ultimately enhance beauty in the subject.
